The Polk City Florida website is undergoing modifications to provide enhanced access to documents for disabled individuals who are visually impaired and to comply with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to make reasonable accommodations. When is my deposit refunded?

The water deposit is refunded when the account is closed. The final bill will be deducted from the deposit and the rest returned to the customer.

How much is the water deposit?

The water deposit is determined by the customer’s utility credit check.  If there is no Utility debt, the deposit will be $150.  If there is an outstanding utility debt, the deposit will be $300.   You may apply for water connection by clicking the Water Utility Application Link below:

How do I get my water turned on?

Water connection requires a deposit. You must also provide a driver’s license and a copy of your lease or proof of ownership. Residential Water Connection Application

When will my garbage be picked up?

Garbage is picked up on Monday (inside city limits) and Thursday (outside city limits).

Yard waste is picked up on Wednesday mornings.
